My trip to malaysia

I left for Malaysia, Seremban to meet my relatives. It was on the 16/12/06. I can't wait to get there. I took the train at 10.25am after a 1 hour delay at the station. Johor Baru what do you expect?. It took me nearly about 5 hrs to reach there. During my journey, there was this Indian lady who acted like a wild beast. She talked non stop for about 4 1/2 hrs. What a disgrace. Because of her no one slept on the train peacefully. Like she owned the train. Thankfully she dropped off at Tampain. What a relief. I finally met my relatives and went to their home.

Guess what, It rained so heavily the next three days, causing massive floods over Malaysia. A holiday spoiled by rain.

Till then cheerio.

Why?

This is my personal opinion. Don’t get me wrong. Why must we pay up at least S$2000 to get a driver’s license here in Singapore? Not to mention the extra fees for retest. I think it is a mere waste of money to get a car license and up to S$150,000 to even get a decent car. And you got to pay COE, parking coupons, fines if you got any, vehicle test, car insurance, petrol fees and furthermore installments if can’t pay up in full. You will end up paying even more for what the actual car is worth. This same amount can feed so much hunger stricken people in Southeast Asia alone. The people here work all their lives just to pay this amount.

The buying of flat here is almost the same cost of a decent car. Condos, bungalows and even semi-detached houses can cost up to an S$1 million and even more. You just imagine so much money wasted on just one house. But the people here just are suffering, as they can barely cope up with the payment of the house. It is even worse if you already got a car. Just imagine a typical guy with a pay of S$1200 (before CPF) CPF means Central Provident Fund. It is a system every Singaporean has when he or she starts working. They will take a portion of your salary for later use of buying flats, paying medical bills or other stuff. Let me just say one thing almost every one here a flat to live in. At least we got a flat to live in. But the prices must drop to entice more people to buying cars and housing.

Let’s say Robin’s monthly pay of S$1200. But after CPF deduction his pay is only S$1044. The usual deduction is 13% of your pay. He can’t even keep some money for himself, as all the money are almost spent on the flat and the car. If he has a family to support, his wife will have to work to support him, but still it is not enough as their income is barely enough to run the family. So expensive the things are in Singapore, but yet we are just getting the same pay but job overload.

Leaving Singapore

In a undecided turn of events i decided not to pursue my part time diploma in Singapore. I decided to save my money and settle down in USA and study IT or some other computer fields. I feel that the more i stay here the worse my career is going to be. So i would leave this country once and for all. I badly need a change in my life. So probably next year or two will be my last year in Singapore.

Brooklyn!!! Brooklyn!!!

I finally managed to get this tag team photo. A very cool tag team photo. Cryme Tyme is their name and stealing is their game. In fact they can wrestle as well. One of the new and upcoming tag teams in the WWE. Very street like characters and seems to click with the WWE fans. Soon to be tag team champions. Their names are JTG and Shad Gaspard. So Brooklyn!!! Brooklyn!!!

What Country am i living in?

The year comes to an end. New year begins. I want to make a impact next year. I really want to do it. I want to save as much money as i can and move to the United States of America. I want to go there and study Mechanical Engineering or some computer studies. Most probably get a degree in it. Why do i do this probably people ask me?. It's a kind of lesson a painful lesson that i learned when i was in sec 4. It was my maths paper that i flung. So after so many years, i ignored it. Then one day i suddenly felt the urge to do maths like a shredding machine. I started to buy maths books and borrowed library books. At first it seem difficult then slowly inch by inch i crawled my way out. And now i can do some of it. I hope by next year i can do maths without fear. Another question people ask me, so old 25 years old don't you want to work and settle down?. I told them if you think like that you will never prosper. Like you study so much and work a sustainable job that can support you and your family for the rest of your life.

I don't want to study so much and earn a living that can barely support yourself here in Singapore. Most of the locals here are like workaholics. I am sick and tired of living in this country. Every time you land a job, they care more about the work than you. they pile on the work but still pay you the same amount come the end of the month. Still working full time on Saturday?. Isn't this day is to spend time with your family?. These people too want to spend their time with their families. Give people more welfare than asking them to do more for the job. The basic concept is if you keep your workers happy they will work happily. If you give them more work they will work unhappily.

Furthermore finding a job here is so hard. Every time a basic requirement is must be able to speak Chinese and have a class 3 license. I mean they call this a multi -racial country but you see Chinese is the majority race here. All the other races are a minority. And to get a driver's license is so hard cause it would cost you at least $2000 and above. And furthermore if you fail the test you are gonna pay more. The public transport is climbing. Prices are on a constant increase. GST (Goods Service Tax) has been risen from 3% to 5% and now 7% next year onwards.

Why must i suffer here and listen to the government?. I want to break away form this country and never to return back to this country for ever. I hope by end of 2007 i have enough money to go to USA.

Finallly figured it out

Finally figured it out how to add links to my blog site. It took sometime for me with my brother's help i was able to do it. It is fun though getting stuck and see what are the solutions to a problem. I love to solve PC problems rather than technical ones. Although my trade is in the technical line.

England Misery

Being a English fan is very hard. I started supporting England at 1994. That's 12 years now and i still don't get on how they play. It seems they are always short on the creativity and vulnerable on the back line. No matter how many managers come and go, they are always the same. New faces but still no flair upfront. Free flowing football is seemingly eluding from the English game. The country that modernized football is now being a clown of soccer.

Not being able to defeat teams like Croatia. Like come on England get your grip on and stop wasting your time on the media. Start producing on the pitch like champions. Take a look at Germany it opened the eyes of football and showed how attacking play should be done. This is far most the scariest German attacking play. I am most impressed with them and i am sure that everyone agrees with me. Short of the World Cup but proved to the world that Germans are not to be taken out easily in soccer. It is not the might of the team but the unity of the team that will overcome any obstacles.
